FontList

Web developer Edwin Martin is the one who came up with the simple yet quite useful application FontList for all the users out there who need to find the right font for their needs. The application generates an HTML report of all the fonts installed on the user’s PC; then it opens that report with the user’s default browser.

The FontList intallation file is an incredibly lightweight 70.7KB. Even on a lousy internet connection, such a lightweight download will complete in a blink. To get the application up and running, you must run the aforementioned installation file and follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. You will have no problems installing FontList on anything from Windows 95 onward.

When you launch FontList, you are presented with a prompt that features a sample text (“The Five Bozing Wizard Jump Quickly”) and invites you to check the boxes for the fonts you want to be included, and also to pick the location where the HTML report will be saved.

Hit the OK button from the application’s bottom right hand side and it will go to work. In very little time it will generate an HTML report of all the fonts installed on your PC and then it will open said report using your default web browser. Scroll through the list to find the font that will meet your needs.

You will not have to part with your money to use the FontList application – it is freeware.
